Dr. Dennis Gross, founder of Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare, has been awarded a patent by the United States Patent and Trademark Office for the brand’s Alpha Beta Glow Pad.

The product is the first anti-aging and exfoliating self-tanner, which creates a streak-free glow on the face and body. Now, the brand has the official patent rights to the ingredient technology used to make them.

The pads contain an ingredient blend of active vitamin D2 (Ergocalciferol), microencapsulated DHA, and skin-restoring extracts. No other tanning treatment product on the market has ever combined DHA with active vitamin D, which provides anti-aging benefits without the dangerous sun exposure that inactive forms of vitamin D require.

Dr. Dennis Gross commented:

“I applied scientific principles to achieve a self-tanner that enhanced the health of the skin, not just the appearance. I wanted my patients to have access to the best of both worlds.”

Carrie Gross, CEO and President of Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare added:

“Our business skyrocketed with the launch of the ‘Glow Pad,’ and we’ve seen tremendous growth in our Glow category ever since. This patent is further testimony to the authority our brand holds in the skin health and beauty market.”

The brand just launched another Glow product – Alpha Beta Glotion for Body.

The Alpha Beta Glow Pad is sold in packages of 20 and 50 applications, and are available at Sephora, Nordstrom, QVC, in boutique spas, and on dgskincare.com.
